Booking Terms and Conditions

o     All bookings are subject to availability.   The maximum number of visitors are;

  •           Key Stage 2 – 80 children
  •           Key Stage 4 – 60 young people
  •           Young Drivers – 40 young people (aged 17 and above). Please note that young people attending this programme are required to be in possession of a provisional driving license at a minimum.

 o     Children and young people will experience various scenarios including fire safety, road safety, personal safety, drug and alcohol awareness amongst others. If you are aware that any of your group has experienced a traumatic event linked to any of our scenarios, and you think we should know about it, please advise us prior to your visit. 

o     We must be able to contact one member of staff from your school or community/youth group at all times during your visit in the event our Navigators need your assistance with a child or young person. 

o      Children and young people undergoing RADAR tours should be supervised at a ratio of 1:12 by the organisation making the booking.

o     You should arrive at RADAR 15 minutes prior to your allocated time as we cannot guarantee that latecomers will be able to undergo the entire experience as timings need to be strictly adhered to in order to accommodate all visitors.

 o     Because we schedule multiple visits during the day there is no time for breaks. It is suggested that children and young people bring their own drinks/snacks however these will not be permitted in the scenario spaces.  There is a lunch room available on site for those wishing to use it.

 o     For invoice customers a PO Number is required at the time of booking. Your booking will only be confirmed on receipt of payment. Once your booking is confirmed we will send you a confirmation email.  Payment can be made online, by invoice, by credit/debit card or in cash.


 o    Upon booking you will be issued with an invoice or directed to the credit card payment portal. Full payment is required 72 hours before your visit.  If the date of your visit is within 72 hours of your booking, then booking is not confirmed until full payment has been made. Payment can be made online, by invoice, by credit/debit card or in cash.

 o     Visitors from the Republic of Ireland will ideally pay online or by phone. Invoices for cross border visitors will be in sterling with a GB VAT number.  Payment must be made in sterling.

 o     Every effort is made to ensure that prices shown on our website are correct at the time of booking. If an error has been made RADAR will inform you as soon as possible and offer you the option of reconfirming your booking at the correct price or cancelling your order at no charge.

 o     The number of visitors on confirmed bookings may be increased subject to availability. Balance for increase MUST be paid in full at time of request.

 o     In 2016 P6/7 visitors will receive a complementary workbook as part of the RADAR tour.

 o    Teachers/Group Leaders are required to accompany their children and young people through the Centre.  This will also help for future lesson planning.

 o    There is a health and safety policy in place which includes risk assessments for visits. Health and safety will also be covered on your initial briefing on your arrival. All staff are AccessNI cleared. The health and safety policy, risk assessments and child protection policy are all available on request.


o      If you cancel your booking you may lose some or all of the money you have paid.

o      Cancellations within 72 hours of date and time of visit will be subject to a 50% charge of the total booking value. Cancellations on the day of visit (“NO SHOW”) will be subject to a 100% charge of the total booking value.

 o    RADAR cannot accept liability for unused tickets in the event of circumstances beyond our control e.g. extreme weather conditions or political unrest. We will however work with you to arrange an alternative date at no additional charge.
