RADAR are delighted to be hosting our first ever Teacher Taster session on Saturday September 10th. If you are a Key Stage 2 (KS2) or Key Stage 4 (KS4) teacher, we’d love to show you what RADAR is all about. On Saturday 10th September at 10.00am you will have the opportunity to visit the Centre and sample some of our amazing interactive learning zones.

Why is “interactive learning” so important at RADAR?
Flashback to 1984 and David Kolb publishes the Experiential Learning Theory; a four stage cycle of learning based on Experience, Observation, Conceptualisation and Experimentation. For us here at RADAR, experiential learning is much simpler than this. It’s exploring, inspiring, interacting, investigating, experiencing, imagining and having fun!
When it comes to risk and danger in real life, we recognise that experiential learning needs to have safety limits. At our interactive centre, our innovative approach combines experiential learning with a safe environment to maximize learning opportunities for children and young people of all abilities and learning styles. You want to keep your young people safe and so do we. At RADAR, we give young people a unique chance to explore dangerous situations in a risk free environment
Our unique learning environment enables us to cover areas of the Personal Development and Mutual Understanding curriculum at Key Stage 2 and Learning for Life and Work curriculum at Key Stage 4 in a way that young people will never forget.
Here’s what some other teachers have said:
“Our children have gained more knowledge in one afternoon than we could possibly do over 6, 7, 8 weeks. It was absolutely fantastic”.
“I have to say that in 15 years as a teacher at Loughshore it was one of the best, most effective and powerful educational visits I have ever been part of.”
“Venue was fantastic. All activities were interactive and fun for kids. We’ll be back next year!”
“An excellent clean, modern learning environment.”
